When you comment your employee ‘s performance & skills/abilities you should pay attention to negative and positive phrases.

I/ Positive Phrases

1. Jim works his assigned schedule without complaint.
2. Harry schedules meeting with appropriate advance notice and maintains a good schedule while at work.
3. Lyle manages a tough schedule with his staff, yet always maintain adequate staffing levels.

II/ Negative Phrases

1. Harry is continually late for work and should improve this area by focusing on showing up on time each day.
2. Trina took several more personal days than permitted and was frequently not here when needed.
3. Jim frequently provides excuses for his late arrival times, yet does not account for things such as heavy traffic in his travel time.
